Blog 2 - Healthcare System
Hi everyone, how are you? i hope all is well. In this opportunity i'll give you my opinion about the healtcare system, in especific, Chile's public healthcare system (because is the one i know best).
Where i start? For me, this system is one of the worst things i know. Why?. Well i'll tell you some reasons.
The main objective of every healthcare system is guarantee the health of every person no matter what (money, race, religion, etc...). In Chile, if you don't have money to pay for particular atention, you probably have to wait a long time to get an appoinment. In fact, in this country, unfortunately, so many people has died waiting for an operation or an appoinment for a simple headache or a cough that got worse.
If you luckily get an appoinment, the thing is not better. In most cases the hospitals don't have the correct implements to give a good attention. They don't have, for example, the bassics medicines for the patients. And to top it off, the specialist, the doctors, the people who attend you have a very bad character, as if they want you to know that they are not happy there and they want you feel the same. The situation is so serious that i have heard people saying that they prefer bear the pain to go an public hospital.
These are some reasons why i think the public healthcare system are terrible. To be honest i don't know hoe to solve this, but i hope the new government can improve the situation.
Obviously this is my personal opinion and you can have another opinion or a different poin of view. So now i would ask you: What do think about your national public healtcare system?
Thank you so much for read this blog and see you another time.
I agree, I hope that the system and the character of the staff public improve.
ResponderBorrarThat a person prefers to tolerate pain before medical care seems irrational to me and shows how serious the situation is😔.
ResponderBorrarHopefully the quality of health professionals improves that they love their work and do their work with vocation would be a good step to start changing the system
I completely agree with you! health should be a right, not a privilege!
ResponderBorrarI agree a little cause I think that the current health system is not perfect as far as waiting times are concerned, but we cannot say that health specialists and facilities are not capable of treating you correctly, and if so, it will certainly be very specific cases.
